JV Girls Basketball at Northbridge Athletics

Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of the Girls JV Basketball program, including planning and conducting practices, game preparation, and in-game coaching.

Teach fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive strategies.

Promote academic success, character development, and positive conduct among student-athletes.

Communicate effectively with players, parents, athletic staff, and school administration.

Assist the varsity coaching staff with program development, scheduling, and coordination as needed.

Ensure compliance with school, league, and state athletic association rules and policies.

Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all athletes.

Qualifications:

Previous playing or coaching experience in basketball required (high school or higher preferred).

Experience working with high-school-aged students strongly preferred.

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Ability to mentor athletes and model positive behavior.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Must meet all district and state coaching requirements, including background checks.
