Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, Bancroft School seeks a dedicated and experienced JV Volleyball Coach to lead its junior varsity high school program. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who builds a strong, inclusive team culture and supports each student-athlete’s growth—academically, athletically and personally. The team practices Monday-Friday from 3:45-5:30pm. Game-day schedules vary. The stipend for the position is competitive. The start date for this position is August 18, 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities:.
Player & Team Development
* Plan and lead effective practices focused on skill development, strategic team play, conditioning, and character-building.
* Develop student-athletes at all levels of experience and skill
* Prioritize athlete wellness and work collaboratively with the School’s athletic trainer, Dean of Students, and school counselors.

Game & Event Management
* Prepare the team for competition through thoughtful game planning and adjustments.
* Supervise student-athletes on the team at all times and coordinate with athletic training staff.
* Attend all home and away JV volleyball matches, ride the school provided transportation and travel with the JV team to away matches, submit required score reports, rosters, forms, and other information to the appropriate administrators

Communication & Administration
* Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff, and administration.
