Statewide Spring Volleyball, Rugby Tournament Brackets Released
The MIAA has released brackets and final power rankings for the 2025 statewide Spring Volleyball, Boys Rugby and Girls Rugby tournaments, which begin Thursday, May 29.
A total of 80 Spring Volleyball, and 15 Rugby teams will take part in this year’s postseason, the fourth to be played under the MIAA’s statewide tournament format. In each of the two volleyball divisions, the top 32 eligible power ranked teams automatically qualify, and any eligible teams power seeded 33 or below and with at least a .500 winning percentage also are included. In Rugby, a minimum of four teams qualify in each of the three divisions, plus any additional .500 teams.
The breakdown of divisions is as follows:
- DIVISION 1 VOLLEYBALL: 39 teams
- DIVISION 2 VOLLEYBALL: 41 teams
- DIVISION 1 BOYS RUGBY: 4 teams
- DIVISION 1 GIRLS RUGBY: 4 teams
- DIVISION 2 BOYS RUGBY: 7 teams

Brackets will be updated with date, time and site information as it is finalized.
All volleyball matches will be at the home site of the higher seed through the Round of 8, and all Rugby matches up to the State Championships, which are scheduled for Saturday, June 14 at Curry College in Milton.
If the home team site is not acceptable the following will apply:
- Home school AD finds an acceptable site
- Lower seed will host the match
- If both sites are not acceptable, Tournament Administrator will place game at an acceptable site within MIAA site policy
- The MIAA will provide neutral sites for State Semifinals and State Finals, as defined by TMC Site Policy.
