
Statewide Baseball, Softball Tournament Brackets Released
The MIAA has released brackets and final power rankings for the 2025 statewide Baseball and Softball tournaments, which can begin as early as Friday, May 30.
A total of 204 baseball and 199 softball teams will take part in this year’s postseason, the fourth to be played under the MIAA’s statewide tournament format. In each of the five divisions for baseball and softball, the top 32 eligible power ranked teams automatically qualify, and any eligible teams power seeded 33 or below and with at least a .500 winning percentage also are included.
The breakdown of divisions is as follows:
- DIVISION 1 BASEBALL: 38 teams DIVISION 1 SOFTBALL: 35 teams
- DIVISION 2 BASEBALL: 40 teams DIVISION 2 SOFTBALL: 38 teams
- DIVISION 3 BASEBALL: 43 teams DIVISION 3 SOFTBALL: 44 teams
- DIVISION 4 BASEBALL: 39 teams DIVISION 4 SOFTBALL: 39 teams
- DIVISION 5 BASEBALL: 44 teams DIVISION 5 SOFTBALL: 43 teams

Brackets will be updated with date, time and site information as it is finalized.
State championship games are tentatively scheduled for Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. Baseball championship games will be at Polar Park in Worcester, and softball at Sortino Field in Amherst (UMass) and Worcester State College.
All games will be at the home site of the higher seed through the Round of 8. If the home team site is not acceptable the following will apply:
- Home school AD finds an acceptable site
- Lower seed will host the match
- If both sites are not acceptable, Tournament Administrator will place game at an acceptable site within MIAA site policy
- The MIAA will provide neutral sites for State Semifinals and State Finals, as defined by TMC Site Policy.
