MIAA Basketball Championships Set for March 14-16 at Tsongas Center

The 2025 MIAA Basketball State Championships are sponsored by Spalding.

The MIAA Basketball State Championship games return this postseason to Tsongas Center in Lowell, with winners in five boys and five girls divisions set to be crowned Friday, March 14 through Sunday, March 16.

A total of 217 girls basketball and 210 boys basketball programs embarked on the tournament journey to Lowell more than two weeks ago. The total field now has been whittled down to 20.

Here is the schedule of State Championship action (team seeds in parentheses):

Friday, March 14

  • 6:15 p.m. - Division 3 Girls: (1) St. Mary's vs. (3) Norwell
  • 8 p.m. - Division 3 Boys: (2) Norwell vs. (20) Old Rochester

Saturday, March 15

  • 12 p.m. - Division 5 Boys: (1) Pioneer Valley Regional vs. (2) Hopedale
  • 2 p.m. - Division 4 Boys: (5) Monument Mountain vs. (6) Georgetown
  • 4 p.m. - Division 2 Girls: (1) Medfield vs. (6) South High Community
  • 6 p.m. - Division 1 Girls: (1) Wachusett vs. (2) Bishop Feehan

Sunday, March 16

  • 12 p.m. - Division 5 Girls: (2) Hoosac Valley vs. (5) Renaissance
  • 2 p.m. - Division 4 Girls: (1) Cathedral vs. (3) South Hadley
  • 4 p.m. - Division 2 Boys: (1) Malden Catholic vs. (6) Somerset Berkley
  • 6 p.m. - Division 1 Boys: (1) Franklin vs. (3) Newton North

Tickets are $20 plus fees, and are available for purchase through the Tsongas Center box office. One ticket each day is valid for all games on that date, but re-entry into Tsongas Center is not permitted without an additional ticket.

All State Championship games also will be streamed live on the NFHS Network.
