Initial Gymnastics Sectional Team Rankings Released
Two weeks ago, the MIAA released its first Winter 2026 Power Rankings for Basketball and Ice Hockey.
Now, for the first time, Gymnastics joins the list.
Beginning today, the MIAA will be releasing Sectional team rankings for Gymnastics along with the regular Power Rankings updates each Tuesday and Friday. The Gymnastics rankings will be used to seed the North and South Sectional Championships, which will be held Saturday, February 21.
Each Gymnastics team earns a single score for every competition date during the 2025-2026 season, regardless of event format (dual meet, tri-meet, league championship, etc.).
Teams are ranked based on the average of their top 4 scores posted throughout the season. Only scores entered into Arbiter are used in the rankings updates.
The Gymnastics regular season ends February 11. The top 12 teams each in the final North and South rankings will be seeded into their respective sectional championships.
