As Casey Grange said in his nomination, “Drew is a true student-athlete. He works extremely hard in the classroom and on the football field & track. There is never a question of what we will get when Drew commits to something-it's always his best. He is a quiet leader who leads by example and is as humble as they come. Drew simply puts his head down and gets to work to make himself and the people around him better but he also is the 1st to celebrate his teammates’ successes. Drew may not get every accolade but he deserved to be recognized for what he has been able to accomplish in the classroom while also performing as well as he does in athletics. And most importantly, he is respectful and kind to everyone he comes in contact with.
Drew’s football coach, John Sexton added, “ Drew is a young man that is admired by peers and coaches alike. He is a tremendous student, a ferocious competitor and someone who constantly treats others with respect and kindness. He leads by example by doing the right thing at the right time every day.”
The MIAA Congratulates Drew Alsup and the entire Central Catholic High School community.
