2026 MIAA Alpine Ski Championships: Medway Girls Co-op Makes History; St. John's Prep Continues Run
After a one-day postponement and a change of venue because of weather, the 2026 MIAA Alpine Ski Championships were held Wednesday, February 25 at Wachusett Mountain in Princeton. Individual and team champions were crowned for boys and girls following races on both the slalom and giant Slalom courses.

Girls
Addie Loomis of Mohawk Trail Regional School and Jillian Bradford of Nashoba Regional High School took the top two podium spots in both disciplines, each coming away with an individual state championship.
Meanwhile, the Medway High School co-op earned the program’s first state championship, led by a sixth-place finish by Charlotte Richmond in the slalom. Richmond is a student at Norton High School, one of the guest schools in the co-op along with Millis High School and Holliston High School.
Medway had a combined time of 5 minutes, 44.22 seconds – including splits of 2:58.02 in the giant slalom and 2:46.20 in the slalom.
Bradford won the slalom in 50.15 seconds, with Loomis finishing second (50.38). The skiers traded places in the giant slalom won by Loomis (56.12), followed by Bradford (56.83).
Julianna Arria of North Andover High School (51.76), Regan Brinzey of Cohasset High School (51.87), and Jillian Magill of Ashland High School (52.09) completed the top five in the slalom, and all three also were in the top 10 overall in the giant slalom.
Wellesley High School’s Charlotte Kelley was third in the giant slalom (56.90), followed by Summer Flannery of Newton South High School (56.94) and Ema Claire Luczkow of Dover-Sherborn High School (57.41), Kelley and Flannery also had top-10 places in the slalom.
Maggie Morton of Holliston was Medway’s top finisher in the giant slalom, placing 16th.
Kelley led Wellesley (5:47.03) to a runner-up finish in the team standings. Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School was third (5:47.75).

Boys
Theo Remington of Concord-Carlisle High School repeated as state champion in the slalom, and Saint John’s Preparatory School cruised to its fifth consecutive team championship.
Remington navigated the course in 48.87 seconds, and also placed third in the giant slalom (57.85).
Quinn McLain of Manchester Essex Regional High School was the winner of the giant slalom in 57.74 seconds. But St. John’s Prep had the other three skiers in the top five, led by runner-up Victor Barnas (57.79). The Eagles posted a combined time of 5 minutes, 32.51 seconds – including 2:53.69 in the giant slalom and 2:38.82 in the slalom.
Colton Friedlander was fourth (57.95) and Andrew Pellagrini fifth (57.95) in the giant slalom for St. John’s Prep. The Eagles’ Owen McLain also finished as runner-up to Remington in the slalom (49.70).
Rounding out the slalom top five were Marcus Brady of Winchester High School (51.48), Oliver Kirby of Lenox Memorial High School (51.81), and Tai Sayrath of Lunenburg High School (52.00).
Concord-Carlisle was second in the team standings (5:36.25), with Lenox in third (5:43.18).
