2026 MIAA All-State Girls Wrestling Championships: Agawam High School Back Atop Podium

Posted: March 3, 2026

Stella Christopher took home the individual championship at 165 pounds, and Agawam High School secured enough points through the other weight classes to win the team title at the 2026 MIAA All-State Wrestling Championships held March 1-2 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.

Christopher earned gold with a 48-second fall against Jordyn Reynolds of Greater Lawrence Technical School. That match was symbolic of the team standings, as Agawam finished with 86 points followed by Greater Lawrence with 79. Defending champion Putnam Vo-Tech was third (71).

Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School was the only school with a pair of individual state champions. First, Kennedie Davis prevailed at 114 pounds with a 16-0 technical fall against Ella Libiszewski of Ludlow High School. Then it was Nmachukwu Okoli taking home the 152-pound victory with a 9-0 major decision over Rileigh Fagan of Bristol-Plymouth Technical School.

Framingham High School’s Adriana DeGroat continued a dominant run with her third consecutive state title. After winning at 120 pounds the previous two years, DeGroat moved up to 138 pounds and scored a 57-second fall against Mayanah Cabrera of Springfield Central High School.

The other repeat champion from 2025 was Hillary MacDonald of Lawrence High School. MacDonald also moved up from 185 to 235 and completed the season with a 2:32 fall against Kaleigh Fuller of Montachusett Regional Technical School.

MacDonald also was one of three wrestlers - along with Okoli - to win an All-State Championship after falling short in the division championships the previous weekend. The other was Hannah Dyckman of Bristol County Agricultural, who shined on the biggest stage with her 8-3 decision over Skyla Rodenheider of Holliston High School at 120 pounds.

Division 1 champion Madeline Ngo of Newton North High School added an All-State title at 132, a 3-0 sudden victory against Alexia Coleman of Salem High School.

Christopher was one of four Division 2 champions to also finish first at All-States. At 107, Elsa Scott of Sharon High School beat Amelia Hough of Milford High School (major decision, 13-2); Cailtin Castoldi of Woburn Memorial High School followed at 132 against Luca Marshall of Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School (major decision, 11-0); and Tessa Johnson of Mansfield High School won at 145 pounds against Gabriella Ramos of Agawam (fall, 4:36).

Division 3 champion Riley-Anne Tarmey of Triton Regional High School started the finals at 107 with an 8-0 major decision against Aliana Garcia of Greater Lawrence. At 185, Emma Leonido of Hanover High School tacked on a 6-0 decision against Leanna Watson of Putnam.
