Varsity Boys Indoor T&F Head Coach at King Philip Regional High School

Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership: Plan, organize, and execute daily practices and conditioning programs tailored to various event disciplines (sprints, hurdles, distance, jumps, and throws).
Athlete Development: Teach fundamental and advanced techniques, event strategy, and mental preparation while emphasizing safety, injury prevention, and academic performance.
Meet Operations & Strategy: Manage competition lineups, coordinate event entries, handle meet-day logistics, and direct assistant coaches.
Culture & Sportsmanship: Establish clear expectations for conduct, promote strong sportsmanship, and build an inclusive, high-energy environment for all team members.
Communication & Administration: Maintain open, professional communication with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and the Athletic Director. Oversee inventory, care, and maintenance of track equipment and uniforms.
Qualifications
Experience: Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level (Varsity head coaching experience preferred). Demonstrable technical expertise in track and field events.
Certifications: First Aid / CPR / AED certification required (or ability to obtain prior to season start). Valid state coaching certification/licensure as required by state athletic association.
Skills: Strong organizational skills, effective public speaking, conflict resolution, and the ability to motivate high school student-athletes.
Requirements: Ability to pass a standard criminal background check and work flexible afternoon, evening, and weekend hours during the competition season.
