Head Coach Boy's Varsity Hockey Co-Op Program at Northbridge HS

Northbridge HS Hockey Co-Op is a four-team Program consisting of Nipmuc, Sutton and Uxbridge with Northbridge acting as the Host school. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Varsity Boys Ice Hockey Head Coach to
lead and inspire our student-athletes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall
organization, coaching, and development of the Boys Ice Hockey program, aligning with the mission
statement and core values of our member schools. This individual will play a key role in fostering
academic success, character development, and community involvement among our student-athletes while
supporting a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture.
Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of the Varsity Boys Ice Hockey program, including organization, practice planning, game
preparation/management, film review, and skill development. Support the holistic growth of
student-athletes in alignment with our member school's mission, prioritizing academic success, character
development, social-emotional learning, and community engagement, while reinforcing expectations
around attendance, accountability, and full participation.
Build and sustain a competitive, supportive, and development-focused team environment that emphasizes
teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect, both in-person and in digital spaces. Ensure a safe and
well-supervised environment at all practices, games, and team functions, working closely with Athletic
Trainers on injury prevention and return-to-play protocols.
Foster strong alignment across the full ice hockey program and maintain clear, consistent, and
professional communication with student-athletes, families, and school personnel.
Manage all administrative and operational aspects of the program, including roster management, statistics
tracking, timely submission of game summaries, use of video analysis tools (e.g., LiveBarn), attendance at
CMAC league and MIAA meetings, and end-of-season responsibilities such as equipment collection, awards,
and program evaluation.
Encourage appropriate off-season development in alignment with school and MIAA guidelines and promote multi-sport participation consistent with our member school's educational-based athletics philosophy.
