Job Start Date: August 31, 2026

Triton High School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic individual to serve as a Junior Varsity Soccer Coach. The JV Coach will work collaboratively with the Varsity Head Coach and athletic department to provide student-athletes with a positive, competitive, and developmentally appropriate high school athletics experience.

Responsibilities

The Junior Varsity Soccer Coach will:

Plan and conduct organized, purposeful, and engaging practices focused on skill development, teamwork, conditioning, and game preparation.
Teach the fundamentals, strategies, rules, and techniques of soccer while preparing student-athletes for future varsity competition.
Work closely with the Varsity Head Coach to maintain consistency in program philosophy, expectations, terminology, and player development.
Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, accountability, and respect among all student-athletes.
Provide a safe, inclusive, and positive environment that supports the academic, athletic, and personal growth of each student-athlete.
Supervise student-athletes appropriately during practices, games, team travel, and other program activities.
Communicate professionally and effectively with student-athletes, families, coaching staff, school administration, officials, and opposing programs.
Assist with equipment management, uniforms, facilities, game-day preparation, and other responsibilities associated with the soccer program.
Follow all Triton High School, Triton Regional School District, Cape Ann League, and MIAA policies, procedures, and expectations.
Serve as a positive representative of Triton High School and the Vikings athletic program.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Previous soccer playing and/or coaching experience.
Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, rules, strategies, and player development.
An ability to teach and motivate high school student-athletes with varying levels of experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
A commitment to developing the whole student-athlete, with an emphasis on academics, character, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal responsibility.
Willingness to collaborate with the Varsity Head Coach and contribute to the long-term development and success of the Triton Soccer program.
Completion of all certifications, background checks, and other requirements
