Thomas Hermanowski is a consultant with the
MIAA and has over twenty-five years experience in the area of substance use/abuse
education. Since 1975, he has been a director/teacher of Health Education, K-12, in a number of
school systems. Presently, he is employed by the Wayland Public Schools. In addition, he
has experience as a Head/JV coach of football, basketball, baseball and softball;
Chairperson of the Wayland Substance Abuse Task Force, Peer Leader Director, Student
Assistance Program Member and SADD Consultant.
Mr. Hermanowski has conducted numerous educational seminars for administrators, faculty,
students, student leaders, coaches, captains and parents. Also, since 1986, his talk,
"It's Your Team, It's Your Performance, It's Your Decision," has been heard by
thousands of athletes, coaches and parents.
Mr. Hermanowski has a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Syracuse; a
Master's Degree in Health Education from Bridgewater State College and an additional sixty
(60) graduate hours, many in the area of substance use/abuse.
Mr. Hermanowski has served as the Massachusetts statewide coordinator for SADD. |
