Each month, the MIAA Student Services Department selects one female and one male student-athlete as recipients of the "Student-Athlete of the Month Award".  Award honorees will receive a certificate of recognition, will be recognized on the MIAA website, and will be featured in an upcoming edition of the
“Building the Future” Student Services Newsletter.

MIAA Student-Athlete of the Month


This award will be presented on a monthly basis to recognize one male and one female student-athlete at MIAA member schools who excel in the classroom, during competition, and as good citizens in the community.  Please nominate your school’s outstanding student-athletes by completing the nomination form found at this link:  http://www.miaa.net/student-athlete-of-the-month-form.pdf

 
MIAA Student-Athlete of the Month nominations will be accepted from school principals, athletic directors, wellness coordinators, coaches, teachers, guidance counselors and student ambassadors.  Nominations must be received by the last day of each month in order to qualify for that month’s award (example: November Award Deadline = November 30, December Award Deadline = December 31, etc.)

 
Monthly selections will be made by the MIAA Student Services Staff.   Award winners will receive a certificate of recognition and will be recognized on the MIAA website.  In addition, a release will be sent to local media regarding the achievements of each student-athlete.
