Anthony J. Romano Selected Part-Time Executive

Tony Romano will join the MIAA Staff this summer, filling a part-time executive position that represents one response to the retirement of fourteen-year Associate Executive Director Ginny Anderson.  Mr. Romano in 2002 completed a thirty-eight year career at Tewksbury Memorial High School where he served as Principal, Assistant Principal, Teacher, Department Chairman, Head Coach of both boys’ and girls’ varsity teams, Summer School Director and Community Education Director.   Tony followed his public high school career with a three-year commitment as Assistant Principal at Lowell Catholic High School.  Mr. Romano has served as Commissioner/Assigner  of boys’ and girls’ basketball officials for two leagues, and has provided leadership as the MIAA Girls’ North Basketball Tournament Director since 1984.  Tony also has been a basketball official for the past forty years.
