Dear Principals,
I am writing to inform you about an outstanding grant
opportunity for your school. Through a private
donor, Outside The Classroom has money available for public high schools to be used for
their online alcohol education course called AlcoholEdu for High School. This
grant money is available on a first come first serve basis and needs to be used by signing
up for the course by Sept. 30th.
AlcoholEdu for High School, is designed as a primary prevention tool that treats underage
drinking and binge drinking as a social phenomenon. They believe the most effective
way to address this issue to is to use the same social networks that bring about negative
behavior in order to bring about positive behavior. The key is to get students
talking and thinking about the subject so that they can start making changes in their
lives in regards to their attitudes, behaviors and perceptions about alcohol.
The grant money
available includes all of the costs associated with working with your technology
department, training the course administrators and supporting the course, and an
unlimited license for the entire school year so that you can put all of your freshman,
athletes, extra-curricular students, parents, teachers, etc. through the course. This
course includes a personal administration site for your school which allows you to
track your students progress through the course.
Also included is your executive summary and evaluative report for each
school along with the raw data.
If you are
interested in this grant program or would like more information, please contact Jamie
Prestileo at 781-726-6677 ext. 233 or at prestileo@outsidetheclassroom.com.
