The National Federation has forwarded information regarding communicable skin diseases which may spread quickly in the athletic arena, specifically community acquired methicillin-resistant staphylococcus infection (CA-MRSA).  If you wish to review the National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s press release on this issue, click here.  If you wish to review the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website page on this issue, click here.

The Massachusetts Independent Football Officials Association is announcing its spring class for new candidates beginning May 14 and running consecutive Wednesdays through June 18.  Classes will be held from 7:15-9 p.m. at the Mansfield Elks. 
Successful candidates will be eligible to officiate Pop Warner and all levels of High School football and you will be prepared for the upcoming season.  There is a fee of $70 for the class.  You must be 18 years old.
