The National Federation has forwarded information regarding communicable skin diseases which may spread quickly in the athletic arena, specifically community acquired methicillin-resistant staphylococcus infection (CA-MRSA).  If you wish to review the National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s press release on this issue, click here.  If you wish to review the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website page on this issue, click here.

The Central Mass. Soccer Officials  (CMSO) will be holding a course for prospective high school referees starting on June 2nd at Wachusett Reg. High School.  Additional information can be found by clicking the link below.

President Brian Andrade has announced that the Southeastern Massachusetts Football Officials Association will be conducting classes for new officials beginning, Wednesday, July 15th at 7:00 PM. Classes will be held at the Portuguese American Citizens Club, 45 School Street in Taunton.      

The SMFOA will begin its 62nd year of operation in the fall and services high schools throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. Classes will be held weekly and candidates who pass a closed book examination will be eligible for membership in the SMFOA.
