Subject:  Important Boys' Lacrosse Alignment Information

The MIAA Boys' Lacrosse committee voted at its September 18, 2002 meeting for a change in the alignment structure.  The committee approved the Pioneer Valley Interscholastic Athletic Conference (PVIAC) request to align Western Massachusetts teams in Division II only and also expanded the action to include Central Massachusetts teams as well.  This change will take effect in the Spring of 2003.

The Committee then extended the deadline for Eastern Massachusetts alignment appeals.  Appeals by the high school principal must be submitted in writing to the Boys' Lacrosse Committee (Attn:  Tass Filledes) before October 18, 2002.  Appeals will be considered by December 1, 2002.  Final Boys' Lacrosse alignments will be released on December 15, 2002
