All five (5) Greater Boston League Schools (Cambridge Rindge & Latin, Everett, Malden, Medford, & Somerville) have applied to the Northeast Conference in District A.


Arlington High School is currently seeking to leave the Dual County League to join the Middlesex League.   Desired academic year of realignment: 2010-2011.  Arlington has been invited to join for the year 2011-2012.  posted 6/15/09


Middlesex League Seeking Schools

In an effort to provide the most equitable oppportunities for interscholastic competition for student athletes in the member schools, the Middlesex League Principals voted in favor of expansion on February 24, 2009. The Middlesex League is now seeking letters of interest from high schools for the purpose of exploring possible expansion options and changes to the structure of the league. Greater Boston League Expansion

The Greater Boston League is looking for new members. Interested schools should contact Nicole Viele, AD at Somerville High School at 617-625-6600 x6161.


Intent to Change League Affiliation: 
Arlington and Waltham High Schools have notified the Association that they wish to withdraw from the Greater Boston League in order to join the Dual County League.  This notice begins the process which will involve formal action by both the affected Leagues before the District A and B Athletic Committees meet to consider this petition.
