METAL CLEATS IN SOFTBALL

The MIAA Softball committee has elected to hold on acceptance of the National Federation rule 3-2-11 allowing players to wear metal cleats and metal toe plates.

The commitee is interested in gathering more information from the membership, the Sports Medicine Committee and National Federation before any additional action is taken.  Metal cleats and metal toe plates will NOT be allowed in the upcoming Spring 2008 season.

The committee will next meet on this agenda item on  March 4, 2008.
