Division IA Ice Hockey

Today at 9:30 a.m. the MIAA Ice Hockey Committee conducted a telephone conference call to review an appeal by Boston College High School regarding the MIAA Ice Hockey Tie Breaker rules.

Stephen Hughes, Principal of Boston College High School presented the substance of his school’s appeal challenging the application of the Tie Breaker Rule.  The MIAA Ice Hockey Committee voted 4-1 to reject BC High’s appeal, effectively upholding the application of the tie breaker rule of Division 1A Tournament Director, Jim O’Connor.

The Ice hockey Committee commended Boston College High School for their outstanding Hockey legacy and indicated they will include the tie breaker policy in future Ice Hockey deliberations.
